"www.ksnc.karnataka.gov.in "Platform" is the property of Karnataka State Nursing Council Board and operated by V WORKS SOFTWARE PVT. LTD, having its office at 485, 3rd Floor, 1st Stage, 6th Phase, WOC Road, Shivanagar Rajajinagar, Bangalore, Karnataka 560010.

This privacy policy "Privacy Policy" succinctly describes how we collect and use your information through a variety of digital means. You are advised to read the Privacy Policy carefully. This Privacy Policy applies to current and former visitors of the Platform and all users of the Platform, whether registered or not. By accessing or using this Platform on any computer, mobile phone, tablet, console or other device (collectively, "Device"), you consent to our Privacy Policy.

"For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "we", "our" and "us" shall mean Karnataka State Nursing Council and V WORKS and "you" and "your" shall mean any visitor to or user of the Platform."

1. INFORMATION THAT IS OR MAY BE COLLECTED FROM YOU

"We may collect personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name (first and last name), email address, mobile number, contact details, address, postal code, registration number with the relevant Council or Board for medical education and professionals in your jurisdiction, professional certifications, and other records, along with any additional information we may request from time to time.

Additionally, we may collect data related to your activity on the platform, such as the links you click, the course modules you view, the time taken to complete a course module, the results of any test(s) taken as part of a course module, the frequency of your access to the platform’s pages or portal, and the number of interactions you have on the platform.

As part of our background verification and registration process, we conduct e-KYC verification through DigiLocker and Aadhaar e-KYC to validate your identity and facilitate the generation of your registration certificate with the Karnataka State Nursing Council.",

2. WAY OF COLLECTING INFORMATION

"We may collect information from you passively through various tracking tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics, Google Webmaster, browser cookies, and web beacons, to gather insights about your usage of the Platform. Additionally, we may receive information about you from third parties. For example, if you sign up using an integrated email login feature, the third-party email service provider may share certain details with us.

Furthermore, as part of our background verification and registration process, we collect and verify information through Aadhaar e-KYC and DigiLocker, ensuring identity validation and facilitating the generation of your registration certificate with the Karnataka State Nursing Council. All such information shall be used strictly in accordance with this Privacy Policy.",

3.WAY OF USING INFORMATION

"We may use your personal information for reasons including, but not limited to, the following:\n To help us provide personalized features; tailor the Platform to suit your interests;improve and/or optimize the Platform for you based on your usage pattern; to get in touch with you when necessary; administer contests, promotions, events, surveys or other features; to preserve browsing history as governed by applicable law or policy; and for security purposes: to protect our company, other users or our Platform and applications.We use contact information internally to: to send you confirmations, acknowledgments and other details pertaining to continuing nurisng education courses completed by you or that may be of interest to you; direct our efforts for improvement of the Platform and its contents; contact you as a survey respondent; notify you of any developments in this Privacy Policy; and send you promotional materials regarding:\n (i) Upcoming events;\n (ii) Newly uploaded Platform content; \n (iii) Any information that we deem material in order for you to be a fully informed user of and visitor to the Platform.\nWe may use your information as otherwise permitted by law.",

4.LEGAL BASIS FOR COLLECTING AND PROCESSING INFORMATION'

"We collect and process information about users like you who use our Platform. We consider that we have a legal basis to do so where:you have given us consent to do so for the specific purposes of using our Platform pursuant to an agreement entered into by your company or yourself with us, where in we will process your data to fulfill the terms of the said agreement;it is necessary for us to do so to enable us to provide you with the services that you have requested from us in using the Platform;it is necessary in order to fulfil our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) to protect the safety and security of our services and Platform, operating and improving the Platform, supporting our customers, marketing and promoting the Platform, and protecting our interests; or the law otherwise permits or requires it.",

5. SHARING OF INFORMATION

7. DISABLING COOKIES

"If you would like to disable our access to any passive information we receive from the use of various technologies, you may choose to disable cookies in your web browser, which may affect the complete use of our Platform, products and services. Please be aware that KSNC (karnataka State Nursing Council) Board or V Works will still receive information about your usage and also your personally identifiable information, such as your email address. If you choose to delete your account, KSNC (karnataka State Nursing Council) Board and V Works will delete your registration information from the active databases. Please note that even upon deletion of account, we may maintain certain information for product improvement purposes as per the data regulation laws of the given geography at the given time."

8. DATA RETENTION POLICY

"We will keep your data for as long as we provide access to our Platform. We will then keep data for a limited period when we no longer provide services to you to deal with any queries or complaints or as required under law.",

9.EEA RESIDENTS: YOUR RIGHTS

"This section only applies to you if we process your data while you are in the EEA. It explains that you have a number of rights in relation to your Personal Data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”). However, the additional rights only apply when we process your Personal Data while you reside within the EEA. If the additional rights do apply, you have the right to request that we: provide you with a copy of the information we hold about you; update any of your personal data if it is inaccurate or out of date; delete the personal data we hold about you - if you are using our Platform, and you ask us to delete personal data we hold about you then we may be unable to continue providing access to our Platform to you; restrict the way in which we process your Personal Data; stop processing your data if you have valid objections to such processing; and transfer your Personal Data to a third party.\n In providing services to you, you understand that we may transfer your information to different locations around the world.
